Road closures around the village

Park Wall Lane in the Parish of Basildon is currently closed between its junctions with Blandys Lane and Unnamed Road from mead Lane to Park Wall Lane and is due to reopen on 18th July 2024.
This closure is to enable SSEN to make urgent network repairs.
Residential access will be maintained throughout.

Aldworth Road in the Parish of Basildon will be closed on the 30th July and 1st August 2024, the closure will be between its junction with Long Bottom Road and its junction with Hook End Lane. 

The diversion route is expected to be via – Longbottom Road, Palmers Hill, Unnamed Road from Haw Lane to Noakes Hill, B4009, Reading Road, and vice versa.

The purpose of this closure is for Thames Water to carry out repairs & maintenance works.
